About Geneseo, Ill.

Located 20 minutes from the famous Quad Cities on the Mississippi River, Geneseo was founded in 1836. A prominent stop for railroad travelers, Geneseo grew up in the mid-19th century. With growth in industry and education, Geneseo was served when Interstate 80 was built, but the small-town comfort has never been lost.
